Apple's bad practices include:
Deceiving and Misleading consumers
Over quoting/charging for Repairs
Making it difficult for 3rd party repairs
Although Apple have been accused of planned obsolescence among other things, in fairness to Apple, they are by far not the only corporation to be guilty of this, nor is this a recent development.
It could be said that planned obsolescence began in Australia around the late eighties due to international trade deals that increased imports, particularly technology products.
Subsequently, this led to the demise of local manufacturing industries and loss of employment not only in Australia but around the world.
The trade of for all 'new beaut technology' that has been showered upon us was the giving up of our independence for self reliance on other corporations and countries dedicated to the development of such technologies.
Hence, the responsibility for this planned obsolescence and any misconduct that may arise from time to time, must squarely rest with us, the people as citizens and consumers, and the eternal vigilance we must carry from one generation to the next to ensure our rights and freedoms are maintained and never eroded.
