What does family mean in the eyes of God?

First, who is God?

Whilst many thoughts and opinions have circulated throughout the millennium, the only thing that rings true to me is that God is simply everything. Yes, you, me and nature; everything on this planet and most likely the universe.

Now what is family?

Family are a group of humans who have come together through blood or some common need or desire. Likewise, these people can separate out of need or desire. Whilst the blood does not act as chains, just as a marriage certificate is not a life sentence of bondage and unhappiness, blood and marriage are an idea, a link to where we came from and who we choose to be in this dimension.

So in the eyes of God, people are serving people, which in turn serves God. Whether these people are family in blood or not does not matter. We are all the same in the eyes of God and are blessed if we can treat each other the same; with dignity, respect and unconditional love.

So when we come to truly accept God, we can come to understand our part in God's plan. Serving others is merely serving God, and through serving God will God in turn serve you.

So as fathers when you lose your children and families, first of all, you haven't lost anything. As much as the pain hurts, God is simply not requiring you to be in their life at this moment. But this doesn't mean your life is over, far from it. God simply lures you into seeing that serving others is where the action is really at, and believe me, there are plenty of people who desire your presence.

So keep your spirits high, all is never lost, it has simply changed form. God likes playing little tricks on you as you do with him. Surely as night follows day it's only fair he has some fun too, after all, aren't we all God's little children.
