Can you believe that:
Tony Abbott's annual salary is $503,000
Then he gets a $200,000 per year pension plus perks?
Wow how bizarre, when many Australians and families are struggling to get shelter and wondering where their next meal is coming from.
If the people of Australia were prospering then maybe there could be a case for such an extravagant remuneration, but when Australians are suffering and dying you've got to be F*&King joking!
Even CEO's don't get raises and bonuses when their companies are going belly up, so what gives?
Yes although Abbott is a CEO, let's make no mistake about that, he also has masters [local and foreign] which he serves with interests that clearly do not serve the health of Australia or it's people.
Well nothing new as we know. The fat cats or call them the 1% or whatever you like are pulling the strings and getting filthy rich of the ignorance of the people and their lack of action to reform this political system or have or disbanded altogether.
At the very least and in the interim, the transparency and accountability factors and controls of government and politicians should be wound up so high, that there are no dark places to hide.
Treason and prison time needs to return to the spotlight for those who intentionally abuse their positions of trust, the Rule of Law and Will of the People!
Politicians or let's call them representatives of the people should be rewarded if they do good for all Australian's, especially the vulnerable and needy, not the other way round!
It's possible, it can be done and thy will be done!
The following is one idea that really should be passed around:
1. No Tenure / No Pension.
A Politician man/woman collects a substantial salary while in office and receives no pay when they're out of office.
2. Politicians (past, present & future) participates in Centrelink.
All funds in the Politicians retirement fund move to the Centrelink system immediately. All future funds flow into the Centrelink system and Politicians participate with the Australian people. It may not be used for any other purpose.
3. Politicians can purchase their own retirement plan,
just as most other working Australians are expected to do.
4. Politicians will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.
5. Politicians loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the Australian people. i.e. either pay for private cover or medicare.
6. Politicians must equally abide by all laws they impose on the Australian people.
7. All contracts with past and present Politicians men/women are void effective 31/12/14. The Australian people did not agree to the perks with Politicians.
Politicians made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Parliament is an honour not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.
THIS IS HOW YOU FIX Parliament and help the fairness back into this country!
No more than 5% of any profession allowed to be represented in Parliament. Especially not the current 42% lawyers who make up our Parliament.

It is a vessel that has become corrupt and no longer land or sea worthy, notwithstanding good intentions by our founders to keep the powers of this type of democratic process afloat.
C'mon lads, it is time to abandon this ship and create a new model!
As it stands now, the current model has been subverted by the ruling class, influential people, corporations and forces not in true alignment with life, nature and humanity. If your senses are open you will know what I mean.
The vehicle [we call government], that which to provide just and equitable services and solutions to the people of Australia and abroad has finally come to a halt.
Our government is no longer de jure but a de facto vehicle of commerce that is destroying the culture and freedoms of Australia in preference to foreign and pecuniary interests.
