What Larken says is essentially what Gandhi said "Be the change you want to see in the world". When we all want to be free, not be ruled or want to rule others, our shackled beliefs of someone outside of us being the master, simply fade away.
Yes, it was all an illusion permeated into our minds and souls through an elaborate indoctrination hoax. From one generation to the next, we were kept distracted with the notion of survival, deprivation, pleasure, pain and trinkets.
