What can a man do without a body or mind working properly, giving his life away fighting for what?
So others can become powerful and financially rich, then being rewarded with a few bits of coloured cloth and tin[medals] and some clapping ovation from an audience comprising many of who are warmongers?
Oh my god, spare me the delusional bull**it theatrics US politicians love to dish out. Real honour is in bringing the soldiers home and not starting unnecessary wars of business, murder, theft, rape and pillage in the first place. Real credibility of US politicians is in what they actually do, not just what they say. Actions ALWAYS speak louder than words. The proof is in the pudding and by recalling the lies politicians have told throughout history.
Of course it is wise we remember that the definition of a politician is one who seeks personal or partisan gain, often by scheming and maneuvering, and acting in a devious and manipulative way. WOW! When we realise and truly understand this, we can't blame them for being true to their description, just like we can't blame a drunk for spending his last $5 to buy a flagon of wine.
So understanding that these underhanded trickster politicians speak with fork-tongue and doublespeak, why do we give them our attention, time and energy, and what's more, why should we believe anything that is uttered from their lips? What is wrong with us? How have we been conned like this? So in essence, we need to minimise government everywhere and stop giving such powerful weight to such nonsense as they perform quite a trivial role. The less government and unnecessary regulation, the less costs to us all else we are wasting our time and killing the spirit of humanity.
Furthermore, who is looking after active soldiers who are dying from suicide and those ex soldiers homeless who struggle on a daily basis with physical, psychological and financial problems? Whose clapping these folk and parading them all around like some war hero mascot?
Nobody is taking away from Cory Remsburg, his courage or patriotism, however misguided.
He like many other young men and women are lured into the armed forces by the spoils of something wonderful and because other misguided folk praise them saying how brave they are, instead of saying how dumb and stupid they are, wake up now and get that ridiculous notion out of your head. Or go and visit returned handicapped soldiers to see and listen to their viewpoints on how abhorrent fighting meaningless wars really are.
It's one thing to defend your country from unfriendly forces and to serve the many unfortunate souls who may be destitute after a natural disaster, however it's quite another story to invade a country, kill someone - whether it be military, civilian, man, woman or child, and do all this so a few people can get their kicks and high on power and filthy rich into the bargain.
So if you are a young boy or girl reading this, don't choose the military as a career until you are properly informed rather than influenced by pro war propaganda under the guise of helping people, keeping them safe and peace keeping missions because it's totally not true. Likewise, don't enlist cos your mates are doing it and rise above yourself thinking or feeling or others saying you're a coward, because also, this is not true. Be SMART and BRAVE as deep down you know better. Open your mind and be guided by a heart of love, not your fear or senses. You are wiser than this!
