Chairman of Southbank Capital Francis Galbally says Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews takes Victorians for fools who do not know he made the decision to use private security in Melbourne’s bungled hotel quarantine program.

It comes after multiple closing submissions into Justice Coate’s Inquiry into Hotel Quarantine have asserted clearly in evidence a decision to use private security can be traced back into Premier Andrews’ private office.

“A creeping assumption is rubbish, it can’t be a creeping assumption … we’ve seen it gets worse by the day,” Mr Galbally told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“Daniel Andrews is taking all Victorians as fools, he is so disrespectful to us it beggars belief.

“To think that we actually believe they didn’t know what happened, that he didn’t make the decision.

“It’s just rubbish, and it needs to be properly examined now.”
